What is the difference between starting in September vs January?

Both intakes follow the same academic standard and lead to the same final goal: building a strong creative portfolio and presenting it at the Portfolio Review in September.

The main difference is the calendar and the experience during the year.

Students who start in September follow the full academic year in Madrid and benefit from a more active award season, with more opportunities to work on projects for creative award shows and industry competitions.

Students who start in January also complete the program, but they will need to take the summer trimester remotely.

Their final Portfolio Review will still take place in September, together with the rest of the students.

The September intake is usually the strongest option for students who want the full in-person Madrid experience and more exposure to award-show briefs during the year. The January option reduces accommodation costs and gives students more flexibility.
