Miami Ad School awarded School of the Year<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Miami Ad School has been chosen School of the Year in the Future Lions 2019 among 444 candidates. The global competition Future Lions<\/strong> is sponsored by AKQA in collaboration with the Cannes Film Festival. The objective of this competition is to discover the future generations of talent<\/strong>. In this edition of Future Lions, students were encouraged to identify their internal barriers and break them. Ego, lack of self-confidence and fear of failure kill creativity; but these limits only exist in our minds. Students have been encouraged to venture into the unknown, in order to drive and seek creative change through fresh and innovative solutions.<\/p>\n

Creating paths<\/h4>\n

In each edition, the school with the greatest number of proposals among the finalists is named School of the Year. This year it was the case of Miami Ad School. More than 30% of the finalist proposals were generated by Miami Ad School students. We are very proud to be able to say that the jury was very impressed by the ideas presented by our students, as they presented a surprising connection between audience and product<\/strong> that was not possible three years ago.<\/p>\n\t\t

Creativity saves lives<\/h4>\n

Three student projects have won Future Lions this year. One of those ideas was generated by the duo of Sarah Peen (Art Direction) and Arendse Rohland (Copywriting), students at Miami Ad School Hamburg. Their idea, which they have given the name Epilepsy Watch Out<\/em>, relies on the Apple Watch device to detect seizure episodes. When an episode is detected, Siri offers guidance to people around \u2013 who might otherwise feel helpless or scared \u2013 to assist the patient. In this way, the two students have shown that technology is useful<\/strong> both for those who wear it and for those who are around. This is Sarah and Arendse's campaign spot.<\/p>\n
